Makhana Mandi 360 is India’s first dedicated B2B marketplace for makhana, focused on streamlining the highly unorganized makhana supply chain. The startup bridges the gap between farmers and bulk buyers, offering direct procurement, better pricing, and transparency. It solves the inefficiencies of middlemen-driven systems, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and farmer empowerment.

Founder:
Prince Shrivastava is a visionary entrepreneur from Madhubani, Bihar, driven by a mission to empower local farmers and digitize India's traditional agricultural trade. With firsthand experience of the challenges faced by producers, he founded Makhana Mandi 360 to solve the deep-rooted inefficiencies in the makhana supply chain.

Vision:
To make Bihar the global hub of high-quality makhana production by building a transparent, tech-enabled, and farmer-first marketplace.

Mission:
To empower 5000+ farmers by 2026 through direct market access, ensure fair pricing, and offer reliable, traceable makhana supply to buyers across India and globally.

Employees:
Currently, the startup operates with a small but dedicated team of 7 members—3 full-time and 4 part-time (field coordinators, logistics partners, and admin support). In addition, the team is supported by a wider network of collaborators for quality control, tech development, and advisory.

Farmers Associated:

The startup works directly with over 800 farmers from Madhubani and neighboring districts and indirectly impacts 1500+ others via cooperatives and sourcing clusters. The platform ensures they receive fair prices, training, and timely payments.

Areas of Operation:

The core operations are based in Madhubani, Bihar. However, supply coverage spans across Bihar and parts of UP, and demand fulfillment in metros like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, and export inquiries from Southeast Asia and the UAE.
