Since last more than five year, SABAGRIs is slowly becoming a major institution for Bihar & neighboring state and playing an important role in Agri-business based social innovation. Whether it is the area of supply chain, horticulture-based business, honey bee products, waste to wealth, food processing, organic fertilizer, and financial inclusion – SABAGRIs’ efforts could make a difference to the Bihar & Jharkhand. SABAGRIs is becoming an important component of these efforts, with its initiatives in agribusiness, financial inclusion, farmer’s welfare, and employment generation. It is in position to take the coordinating role for all these efforts. It is equipped and experienced in commercializing or incubating these efforts into ventures. Its leadership must just rise to the occasion. Though SABAGRIs has a new team, it has kept pace in incubating new companies and has some way to go in providing continuous support and mentorship to these organizations.

Fortunately, birth of the SABAGRIs has helped in this direction. It needs to leverage and coordinate with BAU, Sabour by dividing the incubation responsibilities with an aim to strengthen its incubation efforts. SABAGRIs will create a niche with its presence in villages. However, it needs to understand rural needs and its aspirations significantly more, if it must realize its potential. I hope SABAGRIs will pay some special attention to this over the next year. Wishing the SABAGRIs a more eventful coming year.
